The Ten Commandments are found in Exodus
20 and Deuteronomy 5. In Exodus 20,
Moses described how the Ten Commandments
are part of the Covenant which God
established with the people of Israel.
The description of this covenantal
action is in Exodus 19.
At the end of his life--and just as the
Children of Israel were preparing to
enter the Promised Land, Moses repeated
the Ten Commandments given 40 years
prior at Mt. Sinai. Moses
did not want God's people to forget His
covenant with them--and their covenantal
response to God.
