About Certification
SmallCatechism.org's certification program is a
way to facilitate and recognize growth in learning
of the key portions of Luther's Small Catechism.
Certification is NOT a substitute for
Confirmation.
SmallCatechism.org believes Lutheran Catechesis
happens best...
* In a congregational setting under the
direction of a pastor
and/or specially trained and qualified
teacher.
* With the support of the "Head of the
Household" (or family
member) encouraging and supporting the
catechumen in
their studies.
* In a setting which provides personal
interaction with a local
congregation
* Catechumens are demonstrating their desire for
growth in
faith through Worship, Bible Study and
participation with
others in fellowship.
